Where oh where do I START???

How about when I walk in we only have one room left... That room is reserved and as long as there is a room key left I have to leave the vacancy sign on, so people keep coming in saying "I need a room" and I have to keep saying "I'm sorry, we are booked for the night" and then we have to argue back and forth about the DAMN SIGN... I was polite as I could possibly be about that damn sign being on, but really people when I say we are booked, we are booked, get the hell out!!! The chick that has the reservation did finally call me at about 1:30am to see if I still had a room for her... no dumb ass, I don't you made a reservation and we gave it away... anyhow... she said that she would be right here, that she had just gotten off the freeway and was just passing this one store... and I said "Oh... well then you have driven to far, you should turn around and come back this way, because you past us" and she says "Well! I Have GPS and it is telling me I still have about a mile until I have to go around a corner and then I will almost be to your hotel!" and I then politely told her that there are two of our hotels and that her reservation is at this one, and she said that she likes her GPS and it has never steered her wrong before... So I told her "Oh, Ok, Ma'am, I don't have GPS, I don't understand how that works, I will see you soon" and I smiled and said goodbye... Her GPS was sending her to the OTHER BHTEW, and with the amount of time it took her to get here, I know that she drove her snotty little ass there, found out that her reservation was for here, then had to drive her snotty little ass all the way back here... she should have listened in the first place... so she got here, and says "Can I look at the room before I pay for it?" and I said sure, and gave her the key, knowing full well she wouldn't like it just by her attitude, so she went and looked, came back and said "We won't be staying after all, its just to........................ Small.... for us" and I said thank you and you have a lovely evening... and she left... I didn't bother to tell her that we had called every single hotel in this town AND THE NEXT ONE an hour ago and there were no other rooms available... I hope she had fun with that....

So, on to our next adventure... a guy come up to the desk and tells me that he got locked out of his room and do we have a spare key, I say yes (we still use regular metal keys...lol...) so I give him one, he goes and trys it and it doesn't work! He comes back and so I grab all the others and I go with him and try all of the spare keys, NONE of them work... none!! So I have to call maintenance... but it isn't that simple... the owner shows up, and he tells me to call BL, well... she doesn't answer the phone.. and he wants the master key, I don't know where that is, we never needed it before... he gets the door open and then tells me the spare key I gave him is garbage and to "Get the Laundry done" that is what I was doing in the first place!!! GGRRRRR!!!

THEN... A lady and 2 men show up at the front desk and tell me that they lost their hotel room key and could they please have a new one, they also lost they car keys while they were on the island and do I have a phone book cause they need the number to a locksmith for tomorrow... I felt kind of bad for them :( They should have had AAA It might have helped...

We have some young adults staying in some of our rooms and renting the rooms by the week, they are from other countries, and I am beginning to wonder if their mommas taught them any manners at all before sending them here... They are loud, obnoxious, rude, and just generally not doing unto others as they should... 3 of them moved out of a room today, only when they left they didn't turn in all the keys to that room, they gave one to somebody that is staying here, and that somebody waited till about 3am when he thought that nobody was going to rent the room and then he went into that room and went to sleep, so he could have a room all to himself without paying for it... the problem with that, is that at 3:30am this morning, I rented that room to somebody and when that person walked in, there was somebody laying in his bed... The guy jumps up off the bed and says "Sorry, the room is all your" and leaves... needless to say, he didn't want to rent that room anymore and I had to give him a refund... I tried to call the BL, but she didn't answer, but she had only been asleep for a few hours, so I didn't expect her to answer...

One of the Housekeepers gave the BL flowers, they are carnations... me and SG were joking that they are coated in coke (like the drug) so that when the guests sniff then they will be super happy to stay here :)
