I'm done... I haven't gotten to work for the last 2 weekends and I won't be working this weekend either... I am going to take that as we are closed, even if they will not say we are closed, we are closed... so... Thank you all to my faithfull readers... it has been fun...

3 Day weekend... You know, Labor day :)

We got some new muffins, chocolate chip, I think, a little dry, but not to bad, and cream cheese pastries, its a change, its a good thing :D

Friday night, not full hotel at all, about 1/2 or maybe 2/3, I need this hotel to be 100% full every night that we are open so that we can be open till the end of October, that is the very latest that we will stay open, I think, so come on people, get in this hotel... lol... I wish!

The pool is clean, yet it is to cold outside to swim... that is called Irony...

I have figured out why the hotel keeps having demon possession problems... Its because there is a cemetery next to us, actually next to and behind, it is set a bit back from us... So they must have buried an evil person or 5 back their and they have been bothering the hotel... at least I have finally figured it out!!! Took my long enough... I'm just a little slow... took me all the way since May to see the HUGE sign that is next to my Hotel that says Cemetery... Nice...

The weekend of 8-28/29 ... Gentlemans Club? LMFAO

Ok... So, not much happened yesterday, actually, nothing happened yesterday, I checked in 2 people... that is it... bored, bored, bored... So I guess folks figured they would make up for it today... WOW, they really didn't have to... REALLY!!!

Today, the police pulled somebody over right in front of TBHTEW and blocked the exit of the parking lot with their cruiser, that was nice, and they stayed their for over an hour, what that guy did to have the cops search his vehicle and keep him detained for over an hour, I don't know, but they did eventually leave, I don't know if it was under his own power or if he was towed away, I couldn't see from where I sit, I just see the flashing lights unless I go look and I got tired of going and looking... so... they did eventually leave...

I had somebody call me and ask if I had any rooms available, what size, how much, could they get them for 2 nights (no we are only open on weekends now), are there fridges in the rooms, how close to the local attractions, every question possible was asked, and when they were done they said thank you for my time and they would discuss it with the wife and maybe be stopping in... I don't think they stopped... but ok, I was waiting for them to ask when the building was built and the name of the person wow built it... I would have said Bob and between 1902 and 1908... because I am a smart ass....

There was a room that got about 134 calls this evening... almost every time the phone rang "Put me to room ..." and every time I would say "Pardon me?" and they would then say "Can you please put me threw to room ..." You know, you think they would have caught on after about the 5th time... I just pretended like I was having trouble hearing them... lol... MANNERS PEOPLE!!!

There was the cutest gay man that came in here tonight... he had a reservation, and his two female companions brought him here so he could leave his stuff in his room before they went out... so one of the girls is filling out the reg card and my Gaydar is just pinging like crazy, and he tells the other girl "I just want to go find the nearest gay bar and have a good time!!!" mean while he is holding a paper mask on a stick that is of a blond girl wearing a tiara!! So cute and funny :) and I tell him that he should go to either ____ or ____ and he looks at me and says "How did you know right away where to go???" and I said "Now... what do you think" and he takes a good look at me and says "OMG, Your a Lesbian?!?! Well, then tell us how to find the way!!" So I did... and then just to make sure that they wouldn't get lost I gave them the address to put into their GPS...lol... Its always good to be helpful :p

Now... There are certain questions that you just do not ask the front desk clerk, and the following is one of them, this is why we put phone books in the room... I got a call from one of the room (happens to be the same room that got the 134 calls) and when I answered the phone this is what I get asked "Hello, I was just wondering if there are any Gentleman's clubs around here?" WTF? Really? If you want to go to a strip joint just ask me if there are any strip joints, cause in the amount of time it took me to think about what you said and then say no, I don't think so, and then hang up while thinking about it, I remembered that there is a strip joint or two in the area, but with you trying to be all high class and everything I totally forgot about them in the midst of me trying not to laugh at you.... There is nothing wrong with going to a Strip club, it made me laugh that you are staying HERE and trying to sound all uppity... Thanks for the laugh buddy :)

So that is all for this weekend, unless something great happens in the next hour... then I guess I will be back... Have a great week :)

So... Breakfast is served here from 6-9am, and when I call it breakfast that is being polite, there was a previous post about what we serve, so if you want to go take a look, there are pictures...

Anyhow, yesterday morning, about 7:50 a guy comes up to the desk and asks me if there are any of those puffy pastries today, and I told him no that today all we had was the muffins that were set out at this time, Juice and Coffee, and then I smiled, and he proceeds to bitch about how those muffins are nasty and this is unacceptable and that he is hungry and why don't we have more variety than that and those muffins are disgusting and blah blah blah... I smiled the while time we he ranting, there was nothing I could do, what do you want DAFI? You want me to pull a puffy pastry out of my ass??? I don't have any, if I did, they would be out on a tray, like they were the previous day, but obviously I don't, because they are not...

Really people... if you google the city name and then cheap hotel... well... expect a cheap hotel, expect to not get good breakfast stuff, expect to have to come to the desk to pick up your own extra towels because I can't leave my desk empty to deliver towels to 15 different rooms, and expect to have your room NOT look like the Ramada, cause that is not where you are staying... and guess what??? You bitching isn't going to magically make things appear, it will make me grouchy and if you come up here and ask for anything after you have bitched, I hope you don't expect me to go looking real hard for what ever it is that you want, cause once you have pissed me off, I don't just "let it go", I hold on to that crap...

Remember, politeness counts, Use you manners, We are all still people even if we are Hotel clerks and we deserve to be treated with respect, I am respectful toward you I would like it in return :)

Booty call :P

Just so you all know... If you rent a room, and then leave your Mom with your son and go out to the bar and pick up a Booty call and come back to TBHTEW and you want to rent a different room so you can get you some Booty, you don't have to whisper, your Mom and your son can't hear you... LMAO... and I promise not to tell them that you went out to get some...

Yup... that was my highlight so far this evening... If anything else happens, I will add it later... I need to go roll around in the back room and laugh to myself now...

OH... Update... I stepped outside for some fresh air... and the chick that was in here whispering about needing a room to get that booty... ya... I didn't have a room for her, so she took that guy out to her vehicle and got some booty THERE!!! Nice... I wonder what she is going to do with him now???

I work at such a high class Hotel....

I got told we will be closing soon... Just another week or so of full time and then we go to weekends only :(

We close October 1st for the season...

So I am currently looking for new employment for after October 1st...

The blog has been awfully slow lately, I guess the DAFIs have been staying home, or at least off my shift... LMAO

I am lucky if I get somebody to check in on my shift... at least my arm is doing better now so I can do some cleaning and laundry, not so bored now :)

I made a tower with the Pepsi cans, but I forgot the cord to hook the camera up to the computer...lol.. I will try tomorrow to get that on here... Cause that is THE excitement since the last time I was here ... sorry... nothing else.. Tonight I get to build another Pepsi tower... YEAH... besides that it has been very quiet, just some laundry...

So I hope that everybody had a safe and fun summer, and I will keep on putting things on here until we close... Hopefully something good will happen :)

08-16-09... time is moving backwords... wow...

Actually I am just catch up blogging while I have somebody Else's computer :)

The coffee demon has moved into the back room... I don't know what is up with this CD, but I think it must just like me :) because it keeps finding more and more ways to remind me that it is still here...

There is now a "purring" noise in the back room when i am folding laundry, yes I said "purring" like a cat... at first I thought it was some kind of a machine, but I walked around and I couldn't find any machine that it could be coming from... so I don't know what is going on... I did finally locate the noise as coming from the duct in the ceiling, and it stops sometimes, but then it starts up again later... I am beginning to wonder if it is actually a cat, but there is never any meowing, just the purring... I am pretty sure it must be that Coffee demon... the one that was possessing the coffee pot... To bad there is not a coffee pot demon exerciser...

There was nothing else happening on this night that was exciting... Just trying to stay awake on 3rd shift :)
